Films: Basket Case (1982), Basket Case 2 (1990), Basket Case 3: The Progeny (1991)
Alias: Various, most notably Belial Bradley, the House of Freaks, Eve Bradley, Little Hal, Belial's spawn
Type: Natural
Location: Haunted home/Civilized area
Height/Weight: Varies from that of a bulldog (Belial) to twice that of an average human (Little Hal).
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: Sometimes, brotherly love is the best kind of love. Other times, it leads to mistrust, savagery, and plenty of murder. Or that just Belial's plight?
History: Long ago, Duane Bradley had a horribly deformed Siamese twin named Belial forcibly removed from him by doctors. Amazingly, Belial survived, and has been living in a basket that Duane carries around for some time. He likes Duane, and would gladly be re-stitched to him at some point, but more times than often, their interests come into conflict with one another.
Notable Kills: That strangling scene in the third film is going to be a hard one to top. And it looked so much funnier in toon form, too!
Final Fate: At first, it seemed like Duane and Belial died together when they fell out of that building. But before you know it, they joined a home for equally if not more deformed freaks to live out their lives, and even rescue Belial's children (yeah, he figured out how to do THAT). For now, it seems that this duo can let bygones be bygones.
Powers/Abilities: Belial shares a psychic link with his brother that he can turn on and off.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 4-Belial, being a mound of flesh with arms and a face, is quite unsettling and deceptively mobile. Most of his killings are savage and bloody. But his relationship with Duane humanizes him a bit, and while the other freaks are...well, freakish, they mostly mean well.
Trivia: -Belial is named after yet another name given to the Devil, mostly in Jewish/Christian text. It roughly translates to in Hebrew, "completely worthless".
-Originally, all of the gory scenes from the first film were going to be cut out to appeal to the comedy crowd. Alas, that didn't go over very well, so good luck finding that lifeless cut.
